    Key Installation Details 
    • Fixing Method: Concealed clips are attached to supports first, then sheets are fastened by applying vertical foot pressure until an audible "click" is heard on all ribs.
    • Sheet Orientation: Start sheets with the overlap edge facing away from the prevailing weather.
    • Turn-ups/Downs: The top of the sheet must be turned up, and the bottom (gutter end) turned down (approx. 70 degrees) to prevent water ingress.
    • Overlap/End Laps: For end-to-end joins, use the Lysaght LOK-KLIP® system to create a weather-resistant expansion joint without needing an extra purlin.
    • Damage Prevention: Do not use abrasive grinding wheels, as they cause burrs and burn the coating. 
    Solar Mounting on Klip-Lok 700 
    • Non-Penetrating: Solar mounting clamps, such as those from Kinsend or Antaisolar, are designed to clamp onto the standing seams without penetrating the sheet.
    • Components: These systems usually use aluminum clamps (e.g., Al6005-T5) that fasten to the ribs with pre-assembled bolts.
    • Installation: Clamps can directly support rail systems, providing a secure, high-wind-speed (up to 60m/s) mounting solution. 
    Critical Precautions 
    • Alignment: Misalignment of the first sheet can cause issues for the entire roof; ensure it is square to the gutter and walls.
    • Walking: Always walk in the pan (the flat section) of the sheet, never on the ribs, to avoid damaging the profile.
    • Avoid Screwing: Direct screw-fixing through the ribs can void warranties and cause leaks; stick to the concealed clip system.
