    • Power Generation: Clad plates are employed in hydroelectric power plants for penstocks and in the production of boiler components.

    • Superior Performance: The metallurgical bond (created by explosion welding or roll bonding) ensures the cladding does not separate under high pressure, temperature, or heavy shock loads.
    • Customization: Available in tailored combinations (260+ combinations possible), thicknesses, and sizes to meet specific design requirements. 
    Common Fabrication Processes 
    • Forming: Clad plates can be formed via heavy rolling for cylinders, bending, and pressing for dish heads.
    • Welding: Specialized, two-stage welding is required: the structural backing steel is welded first, followed by the corrosion-resistant cladding layer to ensure continuity.
    • Inspection: Rigorous quality control, including ultrasonic testing (UT), is used to verify the integrity of the bond zone. 
    Common clad material combinations include Stainless Steel/Carbon Steel, Titanium/Steel, Nickel Alloy/Steel, and Copper/Steel.
