    • Equal Pressure Method (Sensor Method): Both sides of the sample are at equal pressure, but the test gas concentration is different. A carrier gas transports the permeating gas to a specific sensor to measure the flow, which is ideal for testing high-permeability materials.

    • Packaging: Testing film/sheet materials to maintain modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) for food, pharmaceuticals, and electronics.
    • Automotive/Aerospace: Evaluating polymers and seals to prevent fuel vapor emissions.
    • Materials Science: Determining the permeability, diffusion, and solubility coefficients of materials at varying pressures (up to 10,000 psi) and temperatures.
