    How They Work 
    1. Force Application: Weight on the platform deforms the load cell's internal elastic element (the "spring").
    2. Strain Gauges: Four strain gauges (or more) are bonded to the element; as it bends, the gauges stretch or compress.
    3. Electrical Signal: This physical strain changes the gauges' electrical resistance, creating a small millivolt signal proportional to the force.
    4. Signal Processing: Electronics amplify, temperature-compensate, and convert this signal into a digital reading for display.
