    Surgical procedure overview 
    1. The surgeon makes an incision and reduces (aligns) the fracture.
    2. Guide wires are inserted into the bone to help position the plate.
    3. The precontoured plate is placed over the guide wires.
    4. Guide wires are replaced with screws. A compression screw may be inserted first, followed by locking screws.
    5. The plate is secured to the bone with locking screws, which create a fixed-angle construct.
