Samarium Cobalt Magnets (SmCo)
- Strength:Very strong, second only to neodymium at room temperature, but maintain strength at higher temperatures.
- Best for:High-temperature environments (up to 350°C+) like aerospace, military, and industrial machinery.
Other Strong Magnets
- Alnico:Very high operating temperatures (up to 500°C) but lower overall strength than NdFeB or SmCo.
- Ceramic/Ferrite:Stronger than rubber magnets but significantly weaker than rare-earth magnets, used where cost is a major factor.
