    • Contaminants: Must be free of additives, formaldehyde, and heavy metals, which can clog catalytic converters.
    • AdBlue Formulation: Typically 32.5% technical grade urea dissolved in 67.5% demineralized water.
    • Physical Form: White, odorless prills or granules designed for quick dissolution in water. 
    Usage in Industry 
    • AdBlue/DEF Production: Primarily used to create urea solutions for lowering NOx emissions in diesel engines to meet Euro 5/6 standards.
    • Supply Chain: Supplied in industrial quantities, such as 25 kg, 500 kg, or 1000 kg bags (FIBCs). 
    Key Differences from Fertilizer Urea
    Unlike agricultural-grade urea, technical grade urea is not treated with anticaking agents or formaldehyde, as these chemicals can foul SCR catalysts. The production process specifically limits biuret formation.
