    Dispersion Techniques
    To avoid "fish-eyes" (lumps), Carbopol 2020 should be sifted slowly into the water vortex during mixing. Although it wets quickly, it should be allowed to hydrate for 10-15 minutes. It must be neutralized to activate its thickening properties, usually with organic or inorganic bases.
