    AI Overview
Lubricant aerosol valves are specialized systems designed to deliver lubricants (oils, greases, or dry films) in a controlled, precise, and often multi-directional manner. These valves are engineered to withstand high-pressure propellants and provide consistent coverage for machinery, automotive parts, and industrial applications.
Key Components of a Lubricant Aerosol Valve
    • Actuator (Nozzle): The button pushed to start spraying. It controls the spray pattern, such as a focused stream, fine mist, or foam. Lubricant aerosols often use 360-degree actuators, allowing the user to spray from any angle.
    • Actuator Insert: A small part within the nozzle that dictates the spray angle and atomization, which is critical for covering angled areas or machinery components.
    • Valve Stem: A hollow tube that connects the actuator to the inner valve mechanism. It serves as the channel for the lubricant, and its diameter impacts the flow rate and spray rate.
    • Stem Gasket (Internal Seal): A critical elastomer component that acts as the "on/off" switch. It seals the valve stem to prevent leakage when not in use.
    • Spring: A stainless steel component that ensures the valve stem returns to the closed position after the actuator is released, providing a secure seal.
    • Housing (Valve Body): The part that holds the stem, spring, and dip tube together.
    • Mounting Cup (Cup Gasket/Ferrule): The metal component (often tinplate or aluminum) that secures the entire valve assembly to the top of the canister.
    • Dip Tube: A small plastic tube that extends to the bottom of the can, drawing up the lubricant.
    Specialized Components for Lubricant Sprays
    • 360-Degree/Inverted Valve Structure: Includes a steel ball or a specialized weight (mallet) at the bottom of the stem/dip tube, allowing the propellant to seal the suction tube when the can is inverted, enabling spraying in any position.
    • Corrosion-Resistant Material: Because some lubricants are acidic or water-based, components like the housing or gasket may be made of special materials such as PTFE (Teflon) to prevent degradation.
    • Nozzle Extensions/Wands: Long tubes used with the actuator to deliver lubricant directly into hard-to-access areas or small machinery parts.
    Component Materials
    • Valve Bodies: Commonly manufactured from Polyethylene (PE), Polyformaldehyde (POM), or Nylon (PA) to handle chemical, oil, and solvent exposure.
    • Gaskets: Usually made from Nitrile rubber, Neoprene, or Butyl rubber to maintain a seal against chemical solvents.
    • Springs: High-quality stainless steel to prevent corrosion from the lubricant.
