Overview

Harvested bins arrive from the field and workers remove the harvested leeks and place them onto the packing table

The leeks pass through the hydrocooler and are trimmed to a uniform size

The outer leaves are removed to improve product appearance

Workers trim the rooting portion of the leeks and bundle them into groups

The leek bunches pass through a sanitized rinse step and then through another hydrochiller to cool the leaves prior to packing

Leek Packing into boxes and then the boxes are palletized
