    • Signal Conditioning: Converts the amplified signal to standard industrial outputs (e.g., 4-20mA, 0-10V, ±10V) for easy integration.

    • Calibration: Allows for zeroing and scaling (gain adjustment) to match the physical weight (engineering units).

    • Outputs: Voltage (0-10V, ±10V) or Current (4-20mA, 0-20mA).
    • Adjustments: Potentiometers or software for Offset (Zero) and Gain (Span).
    • Protection: Input overvoltage, output short circuit protection, and sometimes IP-rated housings (IP66 for dust/water resistance).
    • Mounting: Often DIN-rail mountable for control panels. 
    Why use one?
    Load cells output very small signals (microvolts to millivolts), which are easily affected by noise. An amplifier converts this raw signal into a robust, standardized signal that PLCs, data loggers, or other control systems can reliably read and act upon, enabling accurate weighing and process control.
