    • Material Variety: Available in various materials (carbon steel, stainless, Monel) for different temperatures and corrosive fluids.
    • Bonnet Types: Can be open-bonnet (for lower temps/non-corrosive) or closed-bonnet (for high temps/corrosive/dirty services, sometimes with bellows).
    • Applications: Widely used in oil & gas, chemical, and steam systems for overpressure protection. 
    Common Variations 
    • Conventional: The basic spring-loaded type.
    • Bellows Type: Incorporates a bellows to isolate the spring from system pressure, preventing backpressure from affecting set pressure, ideal for flare systems.
    • Pilot-Operated: Uses a smaller pilot valve to control the main valve, offering higher capacity and set pressure accuracy.
