    Difference from Hydrophobic Silica
    While hydrophilic silica blends easily with water, hydrophobic nano silica (such as Aerosil® R972) has been surface-treated with silanes to repel water and disperse well in non-polar organic solvents. Hydrophobic types are typically better for water-repellent coatings and anti-corrosion.
