    Standard FR-4 causes excessive signal degradation at high frequencies. High-frequency boards rely on advanced substrates: 
    • Hydrocarbon/Ceramic Laminates: Materials like Rogers RO4350B offer exceptional high-frequency performance and a very stable dielectric constant.
    • Low-Loss Glass Cloth: Advanced prepregs like Panasonic Megtron 6 reduce insertion loss for speeds scaling past 50+ GHz. 
    📐 Design & Manufacturing Specifications 
    • Impedance Control: Crucial for preventing signal reflections. Trace widths and dielectric heights are precisely calculated using a standard formula for microstrip lines and striplines:
